SELF PORTRAIT WORK
SELF PORTRAIT WORK

2007 - Present

Statement

My work is a confessionary of self-narratives that come to relevance when discussing the female construct.

In my case, a woman born and raised in Puerto Rico, a place of resilient history and cultural pride that make up an oppressed tropical colony.

In my adult years, I’ve brought to seek far from it to grasp an honest perspective.

Trading the intimacy of my identity for the ability to unravel myself is what I choose to explore in my work through more than one medium and in more than one view.
